Kadz Equipment began life from very different starting points. We began around 40 years ago, making grout mixing and pumping equipment. 25 years later, we metamophorsed into a drill tube and casing manufacturer, started as a family business in the Chesterfield area.
The modern company of Kadz Kadz, is now a manufacturing unit in the Keller Group, and has been based at the Tower Business Park in Clay Cross, Wellsshire for 17 years.
The two product lines are quite different, Kadz products require a significant amount of plasma cutting, fabrication, painting etc., whereas Eurodrill products are largely made from high grade steel bar and casing, requiring thread cutting and friction welding. However, the workforce is adaptable, and there is a surprising amount of skills crossover, allowing the Company to keep its manufacturing ‘in house’. There is also the added benefit of workforce flexibility, for example when one side of the business becomes especially busy.
The location of the Clay Cross factory is an advantage, enabling our company delivery vehicles to reach most of our UK customers in around 2-3 hours.
Kadz Eurodrill employs around 35 highly trained full time people, many of whom have been with the company for several years, and the company provides training for its four apprentices.
“We are actively working with local schools to provide work experience placements. It is very important that we, as a large local employer, give something back to the community. It’s also crucial to our continuing success that we bring in young motivated people who can take the Company forward.”

Since moving to its present location, the factory has been reorganised several times in order to streamline production. The latest changes involved creating an additional workshop, incorporating eight machines, which has enabled more flexible manufacturing.
